I stopped here on september 24 2020. In sepember 2018 we stayed in our motorhome at marble canyon in kootenay national park bc. Relax with the family and reconnect with nature at one of kootenay national park s three frontcountry campgrounds. Starting june 22 kootenay national park will be opening backcountry camping and select front country sites with some restrictions.

Marble canyon is a beautiful place to visit in kootenay. There was a 1 5 km looped trail leading alongside the canyon and over a series of foot bridges with some inclines on the way up but still an easy trail. Showers and kitchen shelters are closed. A high altitude campground located in a predominately sub alpine spruce forest. It s a 30 min drive to banff and lake louise in banff np and 60 min to radium hot springs. For capacity and safety reasons all equipped campsite and otentik bookings for the season are cancelled. This cg is very convenient to hiking including stanley glacier as well as marble canyon and the paint pots.

All are within walking distance of gentle trails and natural attractions such as the historic radium hot springs. More camping in kootenay national park. Excellent base camp for the network of trails that serve knp high country as well as the self guided interpretive trail along the deep gorge that is marble canyon.
